7 Fashion Tips to Jazz Up Your Old Outfit
We all know how it is - your old outfits are getting a little dull and you're starting to think it's about time to go shopping to update your wardrobe. Before you do, try these seven tips - you can actually give your old wardrobe an entirely new look with these seven easy tips; best of all, you can do this with little or no money.
1. While fitted waists are the rage right now many women forego this figure friendly look, because they fear that it may make them look larger in size. Actually, flowing garments that do not fit well make people look bigger. You can use a scarf, neck chains, or a belt to loosely cinch the waist of a loosely fitting garment. This will enhance your figure as well as the entire look of your outfit.
2. Use a scarf to accentuate the neck of your outfit and draw attention to your beautiful face and smile. The scarf should be a splash of colour that will complement your outfit, but will also update the look. If you have a gray dress or sweater, try a yellow, green, or blue scarf for a little punch of colourful style. You can knot the scarf or secure it with a pretty pin to make it sizzle even more.
3. You probably already have plenty of beaded costume jewellery necklaces around. Try wearing them in different combinations to jazz up your old outfits. You can even remove the beads and hot glue them to clothing in patterns of your own design. An old beaded costume necklace can turn a boring blouse into your new favourite.
4. Try mixing textures and fabrics for some original looks. Tweeds can go with leather and silks to add a new feel and high fashion appeal to many outfit combinations. Remember that today many of the older fashion rules no longer exist, so play with your clothing and experiment with different and unusual combinations of tops and bottoms as well as a mixture of fabric materials.
5. One of the easiest and least expensive ways to totally transform the look of old clothing is to dye it in different colours.
6. Add exciting new accents to your pockets, collars and waistbands with leather, fake fur and even feathers. These touches really draw the eye and make old clothes exciting again. Remember to wear your hats as well - a hat can completely change the look of an outfit.
7. Go through all of your clothes and pick out the clothes which fit the best. These can be the foundation of your new look. If these clothes tend to be dark solid colours, then you'll want to get out your brightest accessories to give them a little colour. Monotone outfits can be very flattering, but a plain outfit always looks even better with a colourful scarf or shiny pin.
Keep in mind that the world of fashion is constantly changing. Look at fashion magazines to check on what old looks you may have lying around have come back into vogue.
The time and effort needed to put these tips to use in creating a whole new look out of the clothes you already have is well worth it. You can have a great and individual style while keeping your spending to an absolute minimum.
